Rescue services, in the order most contractors need them

If you're reading this, something probably went sideways. Maybe the website stopped producing calls, the Google listing is attached to someone else's login, or you've paid a monthly invoice for a year and can't say what it bought. Trade.Repair exists for that moment. We help Canadian contractors find out what they actually own, get control back through the platforms' official processes, and fix the marketing so it earns its keep again.

We are a marketing and business consulting service. We are not a contractor, and we never touch the tools of your trade. Our work happens in Google, on your website and in your accounts.

Start here: the five-minute damage check

Before you call anyone, including us, sit down with a coffee and try to log in to each of these yourself. The answer to "can I get in without asking anyone?" tells you how urgent your situation is.

  1. Your domain registrar. The company where your web address is registered. Is the registrant your business, or someone else?
  2. Your Google Business Profile. Are you listed as an owner, or only a manager, or not at all?
  3. Your website's hosting and admin login. Could you change a phone number on the contact page today?
  4. Your Google Ads account. Do you have admin access, and is the billing card yours?
  5. Your call-tracking numbers. If the numbers on your ads and listings belong to a tracking service, who holds that account?

If you passed all five, you're in better shape than most owners who contact us. If you failed two or more, read the agency exit checklist before you cancel anything, because the order you do things in matters.

What a rescue actually involves

A rescue has three stages, and most owners only need part of it.

Some owners stop after the audit and run things themselves. That's a perfectly good outcome. The services overview explains how to decide.

Why the order of recovery matters

Recover the domain first, because everything else hangs off it. Your website, your business email and the verification of half your other accounts depend on that one record.

A common mistake is to cancel the old arrangement in anger, then discover the domain was registered under the agency's account and the site goes dark on renewal day. Another is to delete an old Google listing and start a new one, which throws away the reviews you earned. Calm, in sequence, with screenshots of everything before you change it: that's the rule we follow, and the one we'd suggest even if you never hire us.

The numbers behind a stalled marketing budget

Here's a check you can do in ten minutes. Take your monthly marketing spend and divide it by your average gross profit per job.

If you spend $2,500 a month and an average job leaves you $500 in gross profit, you need five extra jobs a month just to break even on the marketing. Now look at your call log for the last 90 days. If you can't point to roughly fifteen jobs that came from that spend, the marketing is costing you money, whatever the monthly report says.

That simple test is the heart of how to read an agency report. It doesn't need anyone's dashboard, only your own job records.

Proof from our HVAC work

Our published case studies come from heating and cooling companies, so we present them as results from our HVAC work, not as plumbing or roofing results. They show what happens when a trades business owns its foundation and the marketing is rebuilt properly.

The results page explains what each one shows and what carries over to other trades. We don't promise any number for your business; we show you how we'll measure progress.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you can't get into

Make a quick list: the website, the Google listing, the ad account, the phone number on your ads. Note anything you pay for each month and don't fully understand.

  2. We map what you own and what's at risk

We check every login, owner role and invoice, then give you a written recovery order: what to secure this week, what can wait, and what isn't worth saving.

  3. Start with one conversation

No sales script and no pressure to switch anything today. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Frequently asked questions

What is Trade.Repair?

Trade.Repair is a Canadian digital marketing and business consulting service that helps trades businesses recover and repair their marketing. We belong to the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, run from Vancouver, British Columbia, under the leadership of Ali Sedighi, MBA.

Are you a contractor?

No. We don't install, repair or service anything in your customers' homes. The only thing we repair is marketing: your listings, accounts, website and the campaigns that run on them.

Can you get my Google Business Profile back?

In most cases there is a route, and it runs through Google's own ownership and access processes. We don't use workarounds or shortcuts, so timing depends on Google's steps and on whether the current owner responds.

Will you badmouth the agency I used before?

No. We don't name or criticise other firms, and you don't need us to. The audit focuses on facts: who holds each login, what you're paying for and what is producing work.

My contract with the old agency is still running. Can you help?

We can audit your marketing and show you what you own, but we don't give legal advice on contracts or disputes. If the agreement itself is in question, talk to a lawyer before you cancel or change anything.

What does it cost?

The first 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades businesses. After that, rescue work runs inside month-to-month plans from $1,999 a month, or $1,499 a month billed annually, plus GST/HST, with 30 days' notice to cancel.
